Chocolate cake “Sundae” is perfect for festive table, and for ordinary household tea. Preparing a cake is not difficult. Your guests will just love it.
Prepare, you will not regret!

To cook a delicious cake “Sundae” we will need:

Biscuit:

  • Flour — 250-300 grams;
  • Butter — 200 grams;
  • Sugar — 150 grams;
  • Sour cream — 100 grams;
  • One egg;
  • Soda — 0.5 teaspoon;
  • Vinegar to repay soda.

For the cream:

  • Milk — 0.5 liters;
  • Butter — 200 grams;
  • Sugar — 150 grams;
  • Starch — 1 tablespoon (heaped);
  • Vanilla sugar — 10 grams.

For the glaze:

  • Dark chocolate — 50 grams;
  • Milk — 50 ml;
  • Butter — 1 tablespoon;
  • Two biscuits (optional)

With the ingredients sorted, it will start the process of making the cake. Let’s start with the biscuit. Take out of the fridge, the sour cream, egg and leave for 20-30 minutes at room temperature. Also come with butter, remove from refrigerator, cut into small pieces and leave at room temperature at the same time.

Turn on the oven, preheat it to 180 degrees. Prepare a baking tray, cover it with baking paper.

After a time, beat softened butter until fluffy, using a mixer, doing it at high rpm. Continuing to whisk, gradually we pour the butter sugar, beat until it is completely dissolved. Still whisking, add the egg, stir until smooth. Further to the creamy mass, gradually mixed the sour cream, knead until smooth. Extinguish floor teaspoon of baking soda, vinegar, add to oil mixture and stir. The resulting mass gradually add sifted through a sieve the flour and knead soft dough. The dough should not stick to hands.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm, put it on the prepared baking sheet and put it into the preheated oven. Bake the cake for about 20 minutes until it will turn brown.

Take out the baking sheet with the finished cake from the oven, cover it easy with a kitchen towel and leave until cool.

Meanwhile prepare the cream for our delicious cake. Take a small bowl, add there 1 tablespoon (heaped) of starch and pour 100 ml of cold milk, a good stir and leave for 5 minutes. The remaining milk (400 ml) pour into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add the sugar, put on fire and stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Then diminish the fire, and stirring constantly, pour a thin stream of starch. Brew the cream until lightly thickened. Then remove the pan from the heat, cover and leave to cool. The cooled custard put into the fridge to cool. At the same time take out of the fridge butter for the cream and leave it at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Softened butter, beat, as in the manufacture of biscuit to splendor. Not stopping to whisk, one spoon, add chilled custard, stirring thoroughly until smooth. In the end add the vanilla sugar or you can add 1 teaspoon of grated lemon zest would also be delicious. Bring until smooth and the cream is ready.

Take the cooled cake, cut it into small pieces. Lay off a few pieces for grinding and powder forms, if you are going to use shortbread, leave is not necessary.

In a bowl combine the pieces of sponge cake with our cream, stir.

Take a cake tin (you can use any baking dish or large bowl), cover it with cling film. The bottom and sides of the form, sprinkle with a little crushed biscuits or chopped remnants of the cake. Spread in the form of a mixture of sponge cake with cream, level the surface, cover with edges of plastic wrap and refrigerate for 7-8 hours.

After some time take out the form with the cake out of the fridge, very gently roll it on a flat dish, take out the cake and remove plastic wrap. To stay only to cover our delicious cake “ice Cream” frosting.

Combine in small containers with pieces of chocolate 50 ml of milk and 1 tablespoon butter. Put it in a water bath and stirring constantly, bring to dissolve.
